Do you buy single items or only bulk loads?
Both. We buy individual computers, servers, networking devices, and other IT equipment, as well as bulk lots and electronics scrap. Share the model, quantity, condition, and any photos so we can assess what you have.
How do you value equipment and pay?
Reusable equipment is assessed by the individual unit, taking its type, specifications, condition, and resale value into account. Scrap is purchased by the pound. We agree on the offer and payment arrangements with you, and can pay by cash or check.
Can you pick up my equipment?
Yes, pickup is available. You can also arrange a drop-off at several warehouse locations in San Diego. Contact us with your location, equipment details, and quantity to work out the logistics. Please confirm the warehouse location and appointment before visiting.
Can you destroy data before the equipment leaves?
On-site and in-house data destruction are available as part of bulk equipment purchases, with a Certificate of Destruction. We’ll discuss the right approach for your media, including sanitization, degaussing for compatible magnetic devices, or physical destruction. SSDs cannot be erased by degaussing.
Are you R2v3 certified?
We are currently working toward R2v3 certification, with completion expected by April 2027. UTEKE is not yet R2v3 certified. Responsible electronics recycling is part of the service we provide today.
